Story

Ethan Cunningham is an engineer from the United Global Remnant, the very last survivors of humanity. 

By 2281, rumours of aliens, terrorists and a meteorite strike finally conscript Ethan back to a broken planet – 180 years after the Global War for resources forced decent society to the edge of Earth’s atmosphere.  

He must pilot a series of increasingly advanced Tactical Combat Frames – the powerful mechs that assist the UGR – hack the security, identify enemies, and destroy all hostile scavenger forces.

But with his mind away from the safety of a colonised orbital space station, Ethan's first real task is to survive dystopia, Beyond Flesh and Blood. 

So he fights.

He learns quickly.

He discovers the terrifying truth.

Despite Ethan’s best efforts, the UGR’s control base in Manchester, UK, reveals the impossibly dark secrets of a 23rd century Earth, and his original mission quickly spirals out of control.

200 years from now, the Cunningham family is torn apart by the ravages of a global war for resources. Ethan Cunningham follows in his parental footsteps - Alex and Wendy - as part of the UGR.

Under the watchful eye of Sergeant Frank Brittain and his pragmatic handler, Javinder Chowdri, venturing beyond flesh and blood takes the idea of VR military technology to its furthest reaches - and its most terrifying consequences.

Mk.1 - Tactical Combat Frame

Tactical Combat Frame – designed to give advanced rapid movement, slow motion running and gunning abilities, and stealth camouflage. These core mechanics are integral to gameplay and are used to access hackable, real world environments that have been re-imagined into a desolate playscape.

The T.C.F has a Central Gravity Control Point, which manipulates gravity for short periods of time; performing powered jumps, extremely fast dodging, and to cause shock waves.

The T.C.F can wirelessly hack into environment security systems and door/gate controls enabling you to advance through levels.

Mk.2 - Engineering Frame

Faster, agile and more dextrous than the Mk.1; the Mk.2 Engineering Frame is often labelled as the baby brother of the Mk.1. Building on the mechanical innovation of the Mk.1, the Mk.2 trades a little brute strength in favour of finer control and precision.

Extendable arms allow it a much longer reach with hands that have superior manual dexterity – invaluable for operations that require a higher level of precision.

The Mk.2 Engineering Frame is also heavily armoured and immensely strong. In fact, it would hold the title of ‘Powerhouse’ if not for the existence of its big brother the Mk.1.

Prototype Frame

A secret, cutting edge machine shrouded in confidentiality and red tape. Most of what is known about this Prototype Frame has been gathered from excited speculation: it is assumed these frames are the results of pioneering work by renowned robotics engineer, Alex Cunningham.

The Prototype Frame represents the pinnacle of Astralis Science and Engineering and what IS known for certain is that this Frame marks a leap in technology that far surpasses the revisions and technological gap between the Mk.1 to the Mk.2.

The prototype has the stature of a 7ft tall human, but is rumoured to have power and strength surpassing even the Mk.1, with greater speed and agility than any other frame before it.

This has led some to believe the rumours that it harnesses some kind of gravity manipulation.

Speculation suggests that it is armed with extremely devastating weapon tech and built out of brand new materials making it both light but extremely well armoured.

We understand that there are currently only 5 prototype frames in existence, each one was developed and field tested over the past 6 years.

Finally, the Prototype Frame is seeing its first full military field test in the mission for Manchester.

    The CGC is an experimental device housed at the Prototypes abdomen, this device allows for control over gravitational forces manipulating them to aid in the Prototypes movement and combat. The CGC is a direct replacement for booster jets of older frames, and as such allows for the same kind of movement albeit much more advanced, faster and stronger.
